My Polaroid adventure begins

At the end of 2o12 in Lithuania I found and bought Polaroid camera at flea market for cheap price. I wasn't a fan, neither I was into Polaroids much but one thing I had: passion for photography. Once I saw the camera on the store I fell in love with it :)

The idea of old school camera with making instart art tingled my curiosity. So I got the camera despite knowing much about it. I was so excited! Got home and started doing research on Polaroids, firstly about types, how the pictures are done, how to get the film and where. Problem was that basically in Lithuania I couldn't get the film. So I set aside it for a while.
When I moved to UK I didn't take my Polaroid at first, but I brought it after a year. Then the fun started!
I started researching in London for films :)) and came upon a guy who sells films in Camden town. He sold me one for £15 (on internet it costs around £20, on the photo store around £22). And after excitement at home, attempt of getting a picture failed....Film didn't work. TT.TT after I came back to Camden i went twice and couldn't find that guy. (he asked me to come back if film doesn't work - how thoughtful of him). I met other Polaroid seller and he explained that the guy sold me old film which was true.....I simply didn't know what the numbers ment. So it's the expiry date. It was expired at '95 u.u the guy told me that expiry date is important because the films go out of the date.

So I went back when the original seller was there and he luckily refunded me for the film! *happy*

Then I passively was looking for the film until one day one new kind friend bought me film as a gift since I was talking to him about the Polaroids so much that day XD (poor guy got annoyed that bought me it to shut up hahahaha) I'm so lucky! :]]

And after a stroll around in a good weather I found my first view to try out for my first picture :)
Bit nervous, I had struggle pressing the shot button and I slightly shaked my camera :D Loved the moment when photo came out of camera! Wicked stuff! Picture comes out dark blue with no image on it, and you put it to your pocket (or in a shoulder bag in my case) to develop. It finally develops after around 30min.
As my first attempt I think it's still amazing : >

More pictures comming up! :)
